NIKOS
PASCHALIDIS, a lawyer and writer, was born in Thessaloniki, where he still
lives today. He studied law at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki
and English at the Pitman Examinations Institute in London. He entered
the legal profession in 1963, serving as a Supreme Court lawyer from 1980
up until 2000, when he was awarded the title of Lawyer Emeritus. He dealt
with citizenship issues as a legal consultant of the UN High Commissioner
for Refugees in northern Greece. He is a member of the Thessaloniki Writers'
Association, the Society for Macedonian Studies, the Museum of the Macedonian
Struggle and the Bar Association of Northern Greece.
He has written novellas, novels, histories and essays.

1995 and 2000, from the Greek Writers' Association in 1995, from the Thessaloniki
Municipal History Centre in 1996 and 1997, from the Hersonisos Municipal
Council of Herakleion, Crete, and the Avdou Cultural Society of Hersonisos
in 2003 and 2007.
